Ginny was the first up and dressed for this day

She brought the sewing machine

out for a quick stitch

She knew she had to be fast as

Mother might come back at any time

Luckily Aunt Mary had sent

all that was needed

for sewing special gifts...

 ( Her butterfly on this pin cushion reminds

 me of my own Mom

who is missed this Mothers Day xo )

 Since Ginny's Mother worked during the day,

she and her sisters had time

to make extra special surprises for Mom

as well as outfits for their look alike paper dolls

Little animals could be made

from spools of thread!

The patterns from Cousin

 Sharon came in very handy

and she shared her technique

for quilt making

Each sister secretly sewed three rows

Another gift for Mother was a stylish

 Vogue black hat decorated with flowers

and modeled by Muffie (on backwards!)

Suddenly Wendy, wearing the very last group

effort ( a coat and hat set), heard Mom coming in

 and putting the baby down for a nap!

Mom slipped on her happy bracelet 

 from last Mothers Day and entered the room!

She quickly spotted a Sparky planter

on the chair! She loved it!

Upon seeing the rest of the surprises,

Mother cried happy tears!

(The last gift was modeled by Wendy

and luckily she and Mom

are about the same size!)
