Remember the Hallmark paper doll cards of the 50's

and the American Greeting cards from 1949?

 Ginny remembers them, too!

See her card collection and vintage

Cape Cod Toymakers bedroom ensemble!

This  6 piece Cape Cod Furniture was made by American Toy Products

and called "Cape Cod Toymakers. "

I purchased this set in the original box ! It is wonderful!

Made of birch , it is similar to Strombecker furniture

but pieces are more squarely cut.

The pink and blue plastic quilted coverlet

is original to the set.

The mattress cover underneath is a real mattress fabric piece

that wraps around the bed frame.

Note the neat flat panels at the ends of  the bed frame.

Wardrobe has shelf and bar for hanging clothes.

The set was made in Massachusetts between 1955 and 1961.

A Luana Patten scrapbook was used to display vintage

40's and 50's storybook  Hallmark cards.

I made this Hallmark  book and these American Greeting cards

  Ginny size!

Left to right: Red Riding Hood, Mary and  Lamb,

Queen of Hearts, Bo Peep

In each of these cards there was a story about the character

Above you see  vintage Hallmark

wrapping paper with darling dolls!

A Jack and Jill American Greetings

birthday card is shown in the middle.

Ginny fills her scrapbook with wonderful Hallmark cards

 she has collected.

She loves the feathers, of course!

Ginny has a brown paper bag dispenser, coins, play money and cash register that really opens and closes!

Here Ginny displays some of her extensive Hallmark

and American Greeting collection

She holds her Miss Muffet card ; Jack and Jill on table.

Some cards are two sided and free standing

as the back of the paper doll's outfit

 appears on the opposite side.

Others have just the front view and  back cardboard tabs

 added so that the character

remains upright no matter where I move it.

The side bottom "posters" were ads

  used to promote Hallmark dolls.

Center display ( Ginny's cards are a little bigger

and more colorful than my camera reveals)

Ginny unloads her cart! Talc, powder andthpaste are My Merry!

Here is a close-up of  Ginny's Little Women dolls,

Jo, Beth, Meg, and Amy.

These food and fruit items are original to t

           , & say, "Get well ! "

Ginny stretches out on her Cape Cod bed for nap.

Below Mary Hartline holds two dolls made with her name.

Getting hungry? Check out the frozen foods! Or how about some Turkish Taffy!

AG cards on each side. Pictured on the 1948 Hallmark cover

is Disney Star Luana Patten looking at her album and

the doll cards.

She was featured with Bobby Driscoll

in the late 1940s Disney feature films “Fun & Fancy Free”

and “Melody Time”, "Song of the South" (zip-a-dee-do-dah...!)
