The Latest Chris Koval News
Well, it appears our hero is on track to meet Owen "What the Heck" Beck (23-0, 17KOs) on October 2, 2004. The fight will be part of the huge Trinidad-Mayorga card that is promoted by Don King. The fight is set for ten rounds, and is obviously Koval's biggest test to date. If Chris wins, surely he will establish himself as a top ten contender.
Before the Beck fight, Chris is expected to take a tune-up in August against Joe Lenhart (12-23-3, 5KOs). The fight will occur August 5th in Akron, Ohio. This will also be Koval's first ten rounder. Lenhart obviously isn't the greatest fighter in the world, but he'll no doubt give Chris some needed rounds.
